We Take Requests
We perform music for special occasions such as weddings, bar-bat mitzvot, parties, fund-raising events & concerts. Our music includes classical selections;
wedding march (Mendelssohn), Brandenburg Concerto (JS Bach), Meditation from "Thaïs" (Massanet), Canon (Pachelbel), Eine Kleine Nachtmusik (Mozart), Water Music (Handel), Sinfonies De Fanfares, Rondeau (Mouret), Hornpipe from Water Music (Handel) and ethnic musics of all types....tunes from Broadway Musicals, Operas, Jazz and Popular Artists, Fun Party Songs, waltzes, Jewish Music and other religions and countries arranged for string quartet including Yiddish songs, Wedding Music, traditional joyous and moving Christian, Hebrew, & Israeli music from both sacred and secular sources, including music from Fiddler on the Roof.
Classical selections include the music of Beethoven, Brahms, Mozart, Haydn, Mendelssohn, Schumann, Vivaldi (4 Seasons), Borodin, Favorite excerpts from operas by Puccini, Verdi, popular classics by Bach, Gounod, Tchaikowsky, & Jazz Classics such as Autumn Nocturne, Body & Soul, Fascinatin' Rhythm, I Got Rhythm, Lullaby of Birdland, Joplin Rags, Ellington Compositions, and more.
SSQ Bio
Our Quartet consists of professional string players who are all active free-lance musicians performing regularly with groups such as the Boston Pops, Boston Ballet, and the Lyric Opera Company of Boston.
The lead violinist, Harris Shilakowsky, was formerly the concertmaster for the New Orleans, London, Omaha, and Grand Rapids Symphony Orchestras.

SPECIAL MUSICAL SERVICES ARRANGEMENTS (WE TAKE REQUESTS) & DIGITAL RECORDING
Special Requests-- your favorite song arranged for string quartet or other ensemble of your choice by Harris Shilakowsky.
Pick your favorite piece or song. I'll arrange it for the string quartet for you and we'll perform it at your wedding.
Your first song arrangement will cost $169
Second or more: $69 CD of your Wedding--We'll record your special string music at the wedding, using our professional digital recording equipment…much higher quality than typical video recordings…and burn a CD of the whole wedding ceremony or just the musical parts, if you wish.
Recording cost: $170
Make sure the quality of the sound is perfectly balanced. Add an optional 1-hour sound check/rehearsal which can be done up to 1.5 hours before wedding begins (we can sneak in a little rehearsal with the any special soloists or instrumentalists during the sound check): $176
You may order additional copies for your wedding guests to be mailed out to the people on your list, or your guests can order whenever they want online after the wedding!
CD Copies in jewel case 1-50: $7.95 each plus postage. You may order online (individual copies or multiples at a discount) after your wedding day.
50-100 copies:6.95 each plus postage
