I noticed on a bar-mitzvah engagement the other day that there were some discrepancies in my arrrangement, so I'm sending you a new version which i think you'll find better than the previous. It also includes a one-measure intro. You'll note there is no repeat from the measure just before the end, but instead around m. 22. You can also, optionally, make a repeat from m. 37 back to m.22 if you need the extra repeated section. Also, you'll see that the repeats were missing on three of the parts in the original version. They should print into these new ones. If using this arrangement for wedding ceremony, you might start at measure 36, eliminating the slow introduction, especially when using it as a recessional/up-tempo...also for immediate dancing. Hanukah!Medley for Solo Virtuoso Violinist In measure 55, III is indicated. This actually should indicate that the octaves should be played on G & D strings. In other words, don't change to D & A in the second half of the measure, as this will take away the thicker tension created by remaining on the lower strings. Hashkiveinu for violin & piano A number of slurs were left out of the violin part. They will be listed on this page later this week. (11/9/05) |
