Bach Unaccompanied Sonatas
Salut D’Amor (Elgar), Largo from Xerxes by Handel
A Thousand Years by David Hodges & Christina Perri

One song for the Wedding Party Processional. I’ll pick one of my own favorites, like JS Bach’s Air on the G String or the Arioso from Cantata #156 unless I get a sponsor who pays 2,500 notes or more. That sponsor will get to choose from my list of processional pieces, or may pick a new song or piece of your own preference for me to perform.

I’ll perform 1 piece from the Bridal Processional music library … G by Johann Pachelbel, arranged by Shilakowsky.

I’ll perform 1 upbeat piece or song for the Recessional; Rondeau by Mouret or La Rejouissance by Handel

Of the 3 songs I’m performing at our Reception, I think I might create a new jazzed up version of Joplin’s Maple Leaf Rag. One of our sponsors who donates 1,000 notes or more can choose one of those from either my popular song list or the classics list.

What song or pieces should I perform?

Sponsors (pay 1,000 notes) will get to Choose from one of my lists of songs or musical compositions...or pick a new song! If you book me or one of my groups (link) to play at your wedding, I’ll discount the cost of booking musicians by 50% of the value of your sponsorship! That in addition to all sponsors over 500 notes get a free download of the Rosin Dust Wedding Album when its released, and a signed poster.

Since there are SO many songs and pieces that I've played for brides & grooms and their families and friends over the years, this will be just the first of a series of new series of Rosin Dust Concerts.

  • Scientists need to be heard. They must march and we must march with them.
  • People concerned for people who are trying to escape the horrors of war, poverty and ignorance must be heard. We must march with them.
  • Women and people of all ethnicities and gender identities and races are human beings with feelings and needs and we must march with them.

We must seek and reveal THE TRUTH. Then we can begin to heal. March!
I wrote and produced this in a funky rapping march style. But it might be good to exercise to also! Oh yah, I quoted the Declaration of Independence AND the Constitution of the United States! (educators beware...this is educational, but...maybe for students at least in 6th grade) Peace.

LISTEN to it here.

New Beatles Arrangements

This week I've set myself a goal of arranging at least one new Beatles song for String Trio every day! So far, I finished a new version of With A Little Help From My Friends, which is already published to

Cheerful song by the Beatles arranged for string trio...violin, viola and cello. Slightly challenging for amateurs, but great for gigs. Two measure intro, then into the song. And of course, comes with the Score & full Set of Parts.

Today I finished Something. The song, "Something", that is...

It will be up on as soon as the staff there checks it out.

Score & Parts for Something, by the Beatles. Arrangement for violin, viola & cello. Great for parties, weddings, and just listening or gigs. Easy to read. Viola trades melody back and forth with violin. Page turns eliminated by keeping the song to two pages. Measure numbers at the beginning of each line. Dynamics and articulations suggested to make it sound more like the original. Some double stops, though not too hard.
